SYNOPSIS OF THE HISTORY OF THE FIRM:

DE VILLIERS & PHEIFFER ATTORNEYS is a dynamic law firm with offices situated in the East of Pretoria.

We offer an all inclusive legal service where all the legal questions/requirements/problems of our clients are addressed in a professional and able manner.

We specialise in conveyancing.

Mr. A P. L. De Villiers was admitted as an attorney during 1981 and later as a conveyancer. He started practising for his own account in association with Mr. O.A. de Meyer during 1984. During 1994 they merged with the firm of the late Mr Shapiro and formed the firm, Shapiro de Meyer Inc. During this time and up till February 1995, Mr. de Villiers headed the conveyancing department of Shapiro de Meyer Inc. He thereafter left Shapiro de Meyer to form his own conveyancing practise, Abrie de Villiers Attorneys.

Mrs. R. Pheiffer joins Abrie de Villiers Attorneys during February 1996 and De Villiers & Pheiffer Attorneys is formed. Mrs. Pheiffer is an admitted Attorney and Conveyancer who specialises in all forms of property conveyance with special emphasis on township development. She did her articles with a Conveyancing firm in Pretoria and as such picked up vast knowledge regarding not only general conveyancing work, but also in the specialised field of township establishments/developments and dealings with various such developers. She has handled numerous township projects successfully in the past, and is involved in future developments on an ongoing basis.

Mrs M. Oosthuizen joined the firm in June 2005. She is also a qualified and admitted attorney, notary public and conveyancer. She currently heads the Bonds Department of the firm, dealing directly with all of the major banks.

Miss Y. Coetzee joined the firm during 2007. She also is a qualified attorney, conveyancer and notary public. She and Mr. de Villiers are responsible for the smooth running of our transfers department.

The firm celebrated it’s 10th birthday on February 2006 and we are all looking forward to a dynamic future in the property industry.

Our mission is to serve our client’s with purpose driven service and attention to detail, in their property dealings with our firm and with the banks that we represent. We also strife to make the conveyancing procedure as painless to everybody involved as is possible. In that area we strive to sustain good communication between any client and our firm.
